At Silpaz, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit or make a purchase from silpaz.com.

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to help us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, special offers, and other updates.

Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send text messages about our store, new products, and updates. This may include Checkout Reminders.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason (such as marketing), we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent? If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information at any time by contacting us at support@silpaz.com.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase. After completion, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS. For more insight, you may read Shopify’s Terms of Service or Privacy Statement.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND ADVERTISING

Third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

We recommend that you read the privacy policies of these third-party providers (such as payment gateways) so you can understand how your personal information will be handled.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

These are the third-party services active on silpaz.com today, and what each one does:

  • Shopify — hosts our store, processes orders and payments, and provides us with store analytics. Shopify Privacy Policy
  • Google (Google Ads) — we use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing so we can measure which adverts lead to a purchase and show our products to people who have already visited our site. This relies on advertising cookies. Google Privacy Policy. You can turn off personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com.
  • Microsoft Clarity — records session replays and heatmaps (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) so we can find and fix parts of the site that confuse people. Clarity masks form input, so it does not capture what you type into fields. Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can opt out at clarity.microsoft.com/terms.
  • Klaviyo — sends our marketing emails and SMS messages, and records which emails you open and which pages you visit after clicking one, so that we do not send you offers for something you have already bought. Klaviyo Privacy Policy. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any SMS.

Social media advertising: we run the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel, dataset ID 3696733983791299, owned by Seller Sprint LLC. It is installed through Shopify’s official Facebook & Instagram channel and runs inside Shopify’s consent-managed pixel sandbox, so it stays blocked until you accept cookies in regions where consent is required. We use it with advanced matching and the Meta Conversions API: a hashed, irreversible version of details you give us — such as your email address, phone number, name and country — may be sent to Meta together with the actions you take on this site, so that Meta can match them to a Facebook or Instagram account for measurement and advertising. You can review and disconnect this at any time through Meta’s Off-Facebook Activity tool, and you can read the Meta Privacy Policy. We do not run a TikTok pixel or any other social advertising tracker on this website.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing data with Meta for advertising as described above may qualify as a “sale” of personal information, or as “sharing for targeted advertising”, under some U.S. state privacy laws — including those of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia. You can opt out at any time using our Your Privacy Choices page, by selecting “Decline” in our cookie banner, or by emailing us at support@silpaz.com.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

Your credit card information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional industry standards.

SECTION 7 - COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart and session working, to understand how the site is used, and to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — but if you block the essential ones, the cart and checkout will stop working.

Essential — the store cannot run without these (set by Shopify):

  • _secure_session_id and _session_id: keep your browsing session and checkout secure.
  • cart: remembers what is in your cart.
  • localization and cart_currency: remember the country and currency you selected, so prices display correctly.

Analytics — how the site is used:

  • _shopify_y and _shopify_s: Shopify's own store analytics — visitor and session identifiers.
  • Microsoft Clarity cookies (such as _clck and _clsk): link a session replay to a returning visitor.

Marketing and advertising:

  • Google Ads cookies (such as _gcl_au): measure advert conversions and enable remarketing.
  • Klaviyo cookies (such as __kla_id): identify you if you arrived from one of our emails.

Cookies set by these third parties are governed by their own privacy policies, which are linked in Section 5 above.

SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

SECTION 9 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the website. If we make material changes, we will notify you here.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners.
